1st Event A Success!

About 20 clowns plus support crew were followed by almost as many reporters  photographers and video crews as they delighted passengers, and spread the laughter throughout the BART system, finally spilling up onto Market Street today.

Even Wavy Gravy came out to join the Clownarchists, as did members of The 'Porn Clown Posse'.

The event was peaceful, there were no arrests. The group was followed closely by BART police who did not interfere, and even posed for pictures with some of the clowns.

Gags included a beautiful costume of 'Big Oil' as the bride - carrying around George W. Bush (the groom), A ventriloquist doll '9-11 Investigator' (claiming not to just be a mouthpiece), and a Guantanamo prisoner clown in a very small cell being carried on the back of Ashcroft.

There was only one small altercation all day, when a woman flipped off the Guantanamo clown, and 'Angst'  of the Porn Clown Posse whipped out his digital camera and took a picture of her. She didn't like that, and literally attacked him. He, and all the clown  remained peaceful, calmed her down, and continued on.
