Gag:
10- 20 clowns run up to another clown (or one of us dressed as a by-stander). (German Accent optional) “We are with Fatherland Security. We are here to check your papers. They are not in order; you are coming with us”
They pick up, and start to carry away the other clown.
‘You can’t do this to me! This is America! I have rights!’
“Had rights… Had rights… you haven’t read the Patriot Act have you? … We know all about you, and the books you’ve been checking out from the library! ‘Catcher in the Rye!’ You’re coming with us!”
(They carry the clown away.)
In the proper setting this can be done with strangers. It is best to have a lead person, not in clown go up and clear it with the person quietly in advance: 'The clowns over there would like to come over and do a routine where they pick you up off the ground. Would that be okay with you?'
The lead person then gives a signal to the clowns that it is okay.
