GAG:
A one-person costume that looks like two people: A bride carrying around the groom in her arms. On her neck hangs a sign that says 'BIG OIL' and the groom in her arms is George Bush (a mask).
Brides Dress, with fake torso and fake legs attached. Bush Mask Sign to hang on brides neck 'Big Oil' Perhaps 'Big Oil' Written down her arms as well.
Slice open across the belly of the dress at performers just above the hip hight wide enough for the performer to fit in. (If the dress won't allow this, you can add fabric down the middle front of the dress if needed, to widen)
Front half of pants waist is sewn on to the top half of the slit. Stuff legs appropriately. Use lightweight shoes, or sculpt shoes out of foam rubber, or styrafoam and paint black, then apply laces.
Where the belly is slit open, also attach elastic all the way around, to hold the hole closed around the performers middle.
Stuff out the dress torso. Put something stiff yet flexible going up her back, with a belt attached at hip height around the board, and padding foam, to attach the costume to the performers waist, thus holding most of the weight.
The stuffed arms go to fake hands, or gloves. A Long sleeve wedding dress makes for much less 'flesh' to fake. There is a piece of cord that goes through her palm, around her arm and out her other palm. Once the costume is put on, her fake hands are tied together with a bow under the backside of his bent knees.
A tail coat on the artists torso can drape onto each side of the costume covering up most of the connection.
