COMBAT STORY

At the 1987 IJA Convention in Akron, I took part in a combat game that
spanned at least half a gym floor. I was knocked out right away, so I stood
and watched most of the game from the side. The entire gymful of combatents
eventually worked its way down to 4 people, one of which was Frank Olivier.
With most of the gym watching, Frank proceeded to steal a club from one
person, which drew a roar from the crowd. He then went and took another
club from one of the other persons, drawing an even bigger response. He
then finished off the game by stealing a club from the last person, and
practically brought the house down. Even more incredible, he finished the
game with three different clubs, none of which were his!
